 Lewis McKenna, Thurrock’s Member of the UK Youth Parliament, met Thurrock’s MPs Andrew Mackinlay and Angela Smith, on a fact finding visit to the House of Commons.
Angela told Lewis how impressed she was at the way the MYPs took up issues of importance to young people, and made sure MPs and Government Ministers were aware of what needs to be done to improve issues like public transport and leisure facilities.
After his visit, Lewis told the Echo newspaper, “This was a very productive day. The MPs made me feel supported and I look forward to working with them for the good of the young people of Thurrock.”
